Pixar fans, young and old, will have their hearts racing after seeing the new extended trailer for Cars 3. A serious car accident slows time down as bits and pieces of our favourite character are shown scattering on the racetrack. It’s often said, “Third time’s the charm.” Will this be true for the cars we know and love? 

It has been over a decade since young, determined newbie racer Lightning McQueen first pulled onto the tracks, and many things have changed, including the miles he has racked up over the years.

Newer models with more features are making their names on the tracks. Where does this leave Lightning? An undertone of relatable adult issues is sure to make this an unforgettable third instalment. It will leave us wondering if it’s all over, or if Lightning will strike again.

Director Brian Fee, best known for his work in the art departments for Wall-E, Ratatouille, and the Cars movies, is making his directorial debut with this film, and from the looks of the trailer, he has not taken the characters, story line, or graphics lightly. June 16, 2017 is the much-anticipated day that the cars will rush onto the big screen once more.
