Demi Moore is set to join the ensemble cast of Sony Pictures’ R-rated comedy Rock That Body. With a cast already comprising of Scarlett Johansson, Ilana Glazer, Jillian Bell, Kate McKinnon and Zoe Kravitz, this star-studded film is already set to be a comedic powerhouse.
Reminiscent of quirky comedies like The Hangover and Weekend at Bernie’s, Rock That Body is set during a bachelorette weekend, where five girlfriends get together for a wild time at a rented beach house in Miami. The weekend goes wrong when they inadvertently end up killing the male stripper.
A superstar of the 90’s, Demi Moore has been off the radar for a while, and is apparently making a comeback as she stars in numerous upcoming movies. She will next appear on the big screen in romantic drama Blind, directed by Michael Mailer, and will also appear in Love Sonia, an Indian drama about human trafficking.
Scarlett Johansson as Major Motoko Kusanagi in Paramount Pictures' 'Ghost in the Shell'.
Co-star Scarlett Johansson has also been busy, with her live-action adaptation of Ghost in the Shell set for release on March 31, 2017. Her casting as Major Motoko Kusanagi, a supposedly Japanese character, has caused accusations of whitewashing, especially from fans of the original Japanese franchise.
Rock That Body is co-written by Lucia Aniello and Paul W. Downs. Aniello is also the director, and Downs is part of the cast. It is set to be released on June 23, 2017.
